Harbour Farm Cottage   was originally the water bailiff's cottage for the farm and, although small, has been completely renovated and refurbished. The result is a cosy atmosphere with a very pretty outlook over a private lake. The Cottage is fully furnished for four people and it has a light and airy feel, with windows overlooking the garden and lake at the back. Wild ducks fly into the lake, and those that stay soon know where a good breakfast is to be found and can be seen trekking across the garden looking for an easy meal. The Cottage is centrally heated with an efficient gas fired boiler, and this also provides the hot water.

Accommodation in the Cottage consists of two small double bedrooms, one with two single beds and the other with a double bed. The sitting room has French doors on to a small patio at the back of the Cottage, which faces South. The garden is fenced for small children. The room has a two-seater settee and two armchairs with occasional tables and a colour TV/DVD/Video. There is a small hall/dining area with a table and four chairs. The bathroom has a bath, shower, washbasin and toilet. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, electric kettle, toaster, percolater and mixer. There is also a washer/dryer. Crockery, cutlery and saucepans are provided. There are good local shops, pubs and restaurants in Bembridge and St Helens.  

We provide linen and towels, but please bring your own beach towels. Electricity and gas charges are included in the rent. There is no telephone, but urgent calls can be taken at the farmhouse number and will be passed on.

THE COTTAGE IS AVAILABLE FROM 3 P.M. ON DAY OF ARRIVAL, UNTIL 11 A.M. ON DAY OF DEPARTURE. Arrival and departure dates can be flexible after the end of October. Please telephone for further information.

For anyone with small children who wishes to find a beach, the nearest is about 10 minutes walk, and about 3 minutes in the car.

We are able to book ferry crossings at favourable rates from Portsmouth, Southampton or Lymington.
